General Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These terms apply to contracts between Step2Job GmbH, Friedrichstrasse 155, 10117 Berlin ("Step2Job") and business customers (B2B). Deviating customer terms apply only with Step2Job's written consent.

2. Services

Step2Job provides (a) placement of professionals into direct employment with the customer and (b) nearshore services, i.e. building, contracting and organising the customer's own teams at foreign locations. No temporary agency work under the German AÜG takes place.

3. Nearshore services

For nearshore services, professional direction and work results remain with the customer. Step2Job handles selection, local contracting, onboarding and ongoing organisational support as agreed individually.

4. No legal or tax advice

Support in visa, recognition and registration procedures is organisational in nature and does not constitute legal advice under the German RDG or tax advice.

5. Customer cooperation

The customer provides complete role requirements and conditions and informs Step2Job without delay about changes in demand or about contracts concluded with introduced candidates.

6. Fees

Type, amount and due date of fees are governed exclusively by the individual contract. No prices are published on this website. All amounts are subject to statutory VAT.

7. Confidentiality and data protection

Both parties treat documents and candidate profiles as confidential. Personal data is processed only in accordance with the GDPR; details are set out in the privacy policy and, where required, a separate data processing agreement.

8. Liability

Step2Job is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breach of material contractual obligations, liability is limited to the typical foreseeable damage. No guarantee is given for placement success or for the suitability or retention of placed persons.

9. Term and termination

Term and notice periods for ongoing services follow the individual contract. The right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected.

10. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin where legally permissible. Should individual provisions be invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
