2. Website access and hosting

When you access the site, technically necessary data is processed (IP address, date and time, requested resource, referrer, browser and operating system) to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The site is hosted by GoDaddy as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR; EU standard contractual clauses apply to any transfer to the USA. Server log files are deleted after a short period.

3. Enquiry form

We process the details you submit (company, contact person, email, optional phone, topic, message) solely to handle your enquiry and to prepare a business relationship. Recipient is Step2Job GmbH. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Data is deleted once no longer required, subject to statutory retention periods (6 or 10 years under German commercial and tax law).

4. Candidate data

Documents submitted for placement purposes are processed to assess your profile and – after your approval – to introduce you to potential employers. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, § 26 BDSG and your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for disclosure to companies.

5. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to analyse site usage statistically. Cookies or similar technologies are used and usage data (truncated IP address, pages viewed, device, approximate location, form submissions) is processed. This is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG) and can be withdrawn at any time with future effect. Transfers to the USA are safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

On your first visit, a cookie banner appears where you can actively accept or decline analytics. Your decision is stored locally in your browser (localStorage, key "s2j-consent-analytics") so the banner is not shown again on subsequent visits. You can change your decision at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer; this removes the stored value and reloads the page so the banner reappears. Technically necessary data for operating the site is processed without your consent (see section 2).

6. Recipients

Data is shared only with processors bound under Art. 28 GDPR (hosting, email delivery, analytics) and – for placement enquiries and only after your approval – with the relevant companies. We do not sell data or share it for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

  • Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability (Art. 15–20 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent with future effect (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Complaint to a supervisory authority (for us: Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection)
